Dr Delyth Samuel B.A(Leeds), Phd(Leeds), MBA(Monash)Business Development Manager Delyth Samuel’s business career includes key roles in textile manufacturing, a teaching role and R&D program management in textile manufacturing, and a business and product development and commercialisation role with Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs at the University of Melbourne. She is highly regarded for her project and business planning expertise. Her current role focuses on the design, development and delivery of educational programs for science and technology research and commercialisation. Delyth is co-author of First XI: Winning Organisations in Australia (John Wiley and Sons, 2002, with a 2nd edition due February 2007) which identifies the business practices of leading Australian organisations and how they have contributed to their long-term success. Delyth is Chief Examiner for the CPA professional qualifications capstone module, business strategy and leadership. Louise Dunn BA (Hons) in Chinese, Grad Cert in Business (Int'l Trade)Business Development Manager Louise has a strong background in management consulting and significant experience in the higher education sector. Her initial exposure to universities was in the international student recruitment and welfare area. Upon joining KPMG Consulting, Louise applied her experience in education and Asia to other client groups (eg. banking and finance, government, retail), helping them to cost benchmark potential foreign investment locations and develop export market strategies. Her six years in management consulting included two years in Malaysia, where her focus was supply chain management. Gaye Pepper B.A, Dip Ed, GDSEBusiness Development Manager Gaye Pepper is an experienced Business Development Manager having partnered extensively with organisations across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. She has supported many of the region’s corporations in the design and delivery of high quality, customised award programs and project services. In her career, Gaye has worked as a Principal Consultant and Account Manager to many of the region’s corporations including Caltex Indonesia, Mobil Oil, Digital Malaysia, Denso International and Orica. This work has assisted organisations to manage large scale change projects, lead business breakthrough teams and design and implement broad learning and development programs. Gaye has held senior professional development positions across the TAFE sector and has worked as an educational consultant at Monash University and in special settings within the Education Department. Dr John Bates, BSc (Hons), PhD, MAICDBusiness Development Manager John has a strong background in business development and in the commercial application of Science and Technology. He has extensive experience in the interface between universities and industry, combining his commercial career with undergraduate and post-graduate teaching in biological sciences. John has previously led global product development programs and worked with research institutions and consortia in the development of successful funding applications for major research and infrastructure initiatives. Dr Ruth Raitman BSc(Hons), PhDReasearch and Development Officer Ruth has had extensive experience in research and analysis and education/training and guidance(students & community environments) whilst supporting client and stakeholder relationship management, project design and development and strategic planning. Completing her PhD in 2006, Ruth submitted her thesis, titled 'Collaboration in the Online e-Learning Environment' which was based on the fundamental elements of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning. She developed the Online Collaboration Model for the purpose of improving teaching, research and learning outcomes for University students and staff.
