Louise Bester B.Iuris; LL.B (South Africa)Project Manager Louise's role is focused on project management of various international and local consulting projects. Louise prepares and negotiates contracts, provides risk management and financial management including budgeting and reconciliations. Louise also prepares tender submissions on behalf of University academics from small to large and often complex proposals. Louise practiced as a lawyer, notary and conveyancer in South Africa since 1995, running various Housing and Development projects in her capacity as legal representative of the Governmental and Municipal Housing Departments. Furthermore Louise was mainly involved in day to day Conveyancing matters, Estate and Trust Administration and Contract drafting. Louise was also a legal advisor for the City of Cape Town (Helderberg Administration) worked as a Town Planning Technician in the Municipal Town Planning and Urban Design Directorate and was Head of the Leasing Section of the Municipal Property Directorate where she was intricately involved in the day to day drafting of lease agreements, day to day management of various leases, as well as drafting and making recommendation with regards to Tenders on behalf of the Property Directorate. Cecilia NguyenProject Manager Cecilia is involved in managing all aspects of projects from its inception through to its completion. Her key focus areas as part of the Consulting Team at Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs are tender searches, dissemination of the tender searches to various interest groups/personnel within the University of Melbourne and assisting in the preparation of tender proposals. Cecilia's role also involves contract, risk management and financial management. Cecilia graduated from The University of Melbourne with a double degree in Commerce and Law. Fiona McNieProject Manager Fiona's role involves project management of a large variety of consulting projects including undertaking the contractual and financial management for international and domestic projects. Fiona is responsible for negotiating and drafting contractual documentation and management of complex tender proposals on behalf of the University's academics. Di StoreyProject Manager Di's role is focused on Project Management for consulting projects. Her responsibilities include all aspects of negotiations in respect of contracts, preparation of budgets, managing risk, financials and seeing the project through to completion. Di is also responsible for the preparation of tender bids. Di has extensive legal knowledge having practiced in England as a Solicitor. Her legal experience lies in litigation having worked within a top 50 law firm in Birmingham, England for several years in social housing and construction departments. Amanda SmithConsultancy Team Manager (Maternity Leave) Amanda's role involves management and co-ordination of consultancy projects. A major focus of her role is the negotiation and finalisation of contracts with external clients and the corresponding sub-contracting of University of Melbourne personnel and other subcontractors. Amanda is also responsible for proposal development and financial administration. Amanda has extensive legal experience in several areas of law, predominantly in the area of insurance litigation.
