Master of Enterprise (Executive)

N20AA

Course Introduction

The Master of Enterprise (Executive) is a quality, highly efficient 100 point Masters degree.

It provides a range of management education in economics, financial and performance management, marketing and strategy.

The program is delivered by senior academics from the University of Melbourne's Graduate School of Business and Economics.

Since its inception in 2003, the program has attracted executives from the retail, mining, food manufacturing, telecommunications, education, government and professional services sectors, with a limited intake of up to 25 students per year. These individuals typically hold middle to senior management positions that operate across an organisation (such as HR) or within a particular business unit.

Led by Professor Danny Samson, a highly regarded national and international corporate educator, the program has been popular due to the fact that subject assessments include a project to be undertaken using the employing organisation as the subject matter. This means that a sponsoring organisation receives immediate returns in terms of the work that such projects generate. Another benefit for individuals and their organisation is the networking that goes on between people from different business backgrounds at similar levels of management progression.

Course Structure

The Master of Enterprise (Executive) is designed to be completed in a one year period, but can be undertaken over an extended period if this better suits professional and/or personal needs. A key feature of the program is its rolling intake, which offers applicants four different starting dates per calendar year.

As an alternative to the full Master program, Master classes are also offered. These are a direct response to busy executives and their sponsors who want a taste of the Master program before making the commitment to a full Masters degree, as well as those who wish to cherry pick from the eight core subjects. This enables middle to senior managers the ability to enrol in Master of Enterprise subjects, either in an award or non award stream.
The Master of Enterprise (Executive) can also be customised to meet the needs of individual corporate and government clients and is available in whole or in part, on an inhouse basis.
