Master of Integrated Freight Systems Management
Course Introduction
The thesis builds on and applies the concepts taught in the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Integrated Freight Systems Management suite of courses. It is a research component and allows the students to apply the concepts and theories developed and delivered in the one of the Graduate Certificate and /or the Graduate Diploma in Integrated Freight Systems Management courses. Moreover, it allows the students to apply these concepts to their industry and to research and investigate analytically a particular part of their industry in which they have interest and/or skills.

Entry Requirements
Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Integrated Freight Systems Management at a minimum of 70 percent.
Course Fee
The fee is $9000, which is split into two payments of $4500 at the start of Semester 1 and 2.
Course Structure
Students must successfully complete the equivalent of 150 points to be awarded the Masters. One hundred points will be awarded as credit for successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Integrated Freight Systems Management at a minimum of 70% plus one of the Graduate certificates from the suite of Freight programs at that level or an equivalent graduate certificate or completion of undergraduate degree or recognition of previous professional experience. The remaining 50 points are awarded for successful completion of a minor thesis of 12,000 – 15,000 words in length.
Students must complete 50 points (3 x 16.67 point subjects) in either of the following
- The Graduate Certificate in Integrated Freight Systems Management
- The Graduate Certificate in Urban Freight Systems Management
- The Graduate Certificate in Bulk Freight Systems Management

- 50 points (3 x 16.67 point Graduate Diploma subjects)

The Minor Thesis must be completed either over two consecutive semesters in a twelve-month period for part-time enrolment, or over one semester for full time enrolment.
The Minor Thesis is due in December each year (June for students who commenced mid-year) and must be submitted by the date negotiated with your supervisor.
Extension to these submission dates are only permitted in exceptional circumstances and requests must be made to Student Services, Melbourne Consulting & Custom Programs.
