Discovering Horticulture
Course Introduction
Discovering Horticulture is an excellent introductory course for those wishing to learn more about horticulture. A perennial favourite, the course has been running at Burnley for over a decade and is fondly known in-house as ?Disco Hort?.
The course is a must for all budding horticulturists and garden lovers. Over 10 weeks, a new topic is covered in each session including plant identification, plant form and function, plant propagation, garden history, landscaping, soils and fertilizers, plants for dry gardens and tree care. In addition to the horticultural staff at Burnley, there are specialist guest lecturers including John Patrick, Michele Adler and Richard Barley.
