Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
The University of Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs in partnership with Motorola offers you a unique opportunity to attend Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Motorola has developed thousands of skilled Green Belts since they created the Green Belt concept in 1991. Over time, Motorola have continuously updated and refreshed their courseware. As a result, Motorola deliver the most comprehensive and rigorous program in the marketplace. The Green Belt program provides a practical application of statistical tools incorporating detailed knowledge of the DMAIC model for process improvement. Problem solvers quickly understand how it all fits together.
Overview
The Green Belt program provides participants with an overview of Six Sigma as well as key concepts associated with effective project teams. Green Belts receive a subset of more comprehensive Black Belt curriculum.
Green Belts learn:
-
a structured problem-solving methodology for addressing business improvement projects,
-
intermediate-level quality tools within that methodology, and
-
how to generate bottom-line financial results.
The program focuses on the DMAIC* model for process improvement and the relevant intermediate-level statistical and graphical tools within that model.
*The DMAIC Model is a systematic method for analysing and improving business processes. It consists of five phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control.
The course is designed for:
-
Project Leaders leading improvement initiatives
-
Managers and Leaders that are about to lead a Six Sigma Introduction initiative in their organisations
-
Existing Green Belts wishing to achieve Motorola Certification
Green Belts who are groomed in the Six Sigma methodology help cascade Six Sigma approaches and techniques throughout their organisation. They are employees at all levels who serve as high-performing team members on Black Belt project teams, or as leaders on projects that do not require the Black Belt level of analytical rigor.
