Graduate Programs in Clinical Research

 

The University of Melbourne’s Graduate Programs in Clinical Research offer an integrated program that begins with the Professional Certificate which introduces fundamental concepts and understanding in Clinical Research. Students wishing to further develop their knowledge and skills in Clinical Research can undertake further studies towards the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters in Clinical Research.

These courses are offered full time and part-time and are taught in intensive blocks throughout the year.

 

Professional Certificate

Successful completion of ONE core Foundation Subject:

Study Design in Clinical Research (12.5 points)

 

Graduate Certificate                                                    

Successful completion of the subject required for the Professional Certificate;
PLUS the THREE Core Subjects:

Managing Clinical Research Projects and Teams (12.5 points)

Basic Clinical Research Tools (12.5 points)

Ethics and Responsibilities of Clinical Research (12.5 points)

 

Graduate Diploma

Successful completion of the subjects required for the Graduate Certificate;
PLUS 50 points of study selected from the electives:

Clinical Research in Oncology (25 points)

Biomedical Research Management (25 points)

Good Clinical Practice (12.5 points)

Clinical Trial Site Coordination (12.5 points)

Clinical Trial Site Establishment (12.5 points)

Clinical Trial Site Monitoring (12.5 points)

Clinical Trial Site Management (12.5 points)

Clinical Neuroscience Research (12.5 points)

Neuroimaging for Clinical Research (12.5 points)

Clinical Neuroscience Research & Imaging (25 points)

 

Masters (coursework)

Sucessful completion of the subjects required for the Graduate Diploma;
PLUS either:

(i)  Completion of the Clinical Research Minor Thesis

Clinical Research Minor Thesis (50 points)

 

OR

 

(ii) Completion of the Clinical Research Project

Clinical Research Project (25 points)
