Thermography

The University of Melbourne is an Accredited Qualifying Body (AQB) for the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT).

The University manages the delivery of industry accredited training in Infrared Thermography for Condition Monitoring Levels 1 and 2.

Both the Level 1 and Level 2 programs meet the requirements of Australian Standards AS3998 and AS3669.  Participant’s who successfully complete the examination and practical components of each program, are eligible to apply directly to the Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) for certification.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The level 1 course is suitable for all personnel who are operators of infrared thermographic equipment or who may be operators in the near future.  Those wishing to apply to AINDT for level 1 certification are required to complete the level 1 training course.
 
The level 2 course is suitable for Thermographers with a Level 1 qualification or other people with a sound knowledge of thermographic testing who wish to reinforce their knowledge and learn how to write procedures for level 1 thermographers to follow.  Those wishing to apply to AINDT for level 2 certification are required to complete the level 2 training course.

The pest managers course is suitable for people in the pest control industry or those who are considering entering the industry, who are interested in gaining thermographic knowledge specific to the pest industry.
